IS THE FIREWALL ON MY MAC BOOK PRO GOOD ENOUGH OR SHOULD I INSTALL NORTON FOR MAC?

I have a mac book pro os lion. do i need to install more protection like norton ,mcafee or sophos? i do not really want to install anything that i do not have to. i travel 2 or 3 times a month. i do not go on suspect web sites. i want to protect personal information. banking credit cards so on. any information would be appreciated. thanks.

Do not install Norton. It’s crud. Install Sophos, you’ll be happy you did. It’ll do what you need it to do.

    Firewall on your Mac is great.

    As long as you have a good password on your Mac, as long as the firewall is turned on, as long as you have file sharing turned off, you need nothing else. There are more problems with corrupted files caused by the antivirus programs out there than there are actual Macs being hacked or infected with malware.

    Norton will really slow down the computer…use this freebie instead…lot’s of MAC user’s use it…….
